Poetic contrast
The Dotty Collection was born of the desire to unite an elegant glass surface with a cut structure. A dramatic cut and untouched crystal encounter each other in the vases. The gloss alternates with the matte colour. “This creates a unique effect that draws people closer to the trade and handicraft typical of Moser. The cutter leaves behind their visible imprint, which can be observed alongside the areas of untouched crystal,” explains designer and Art Director at Moser, Jan Plecháč.

Poetic contrast
Designer and Art Director Jan Plecháč applied the traditional method of the “pebbles” cut but in a non-traditional way. While most Moser vases are fully adorned, only part of the Dotty vase is so refined. Thus, he created a unique effect that draws people closer to the cutters’ work in comparison with the element of untouched crystal.
The vase goes well with all kinds of flowers. The crystal bottom piece reveals the stems, while the cut section is a play between the light and the flower petals’ colour. The Dotty vase comes in three colours: light pink, purple, and earthy, smoky green from the new Moser portfolio.

Jan Plecháč
The designer and current Art Director of Moser studied architecture at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. He’s won several international and domestic awards for his work and signed his name under world-class projects.
