    Josef Hoffmann

Austrian architect and designer Josef Hoffmann (1870–1956) was one of the founders of Viennese Art Nouveau.
One of his most famous architectural achievements is the Stoclet Palace in Brussels, widely regarded as a groundbreaking example of modern architecture. In 1903, he co-founded the Wiener Werkstätte – a Viennese avant-garde
art association. He also employed his creativity in household glassware, creating mainstay collections for the Wiener
Werkstätte and the Viennese company Lobmeyr. At the time, the supplier and implementer of Hoffmann's unique
designs for both of these organisations was none other than Moser glassworks. Hoffmann’s original vases are
displayed in the Glass Museum in Passau, Germany.
