Tax-Free Shopping

Foreign tourists are entitled to a VAT refund from their purchases taken outside of the Czech Republic. If you are a tourist from abroad and you wish to use this service in the Czech Republic, you have to do one thing only: do your shopping in the Moser shops tagged TAX FREE SHOPPING. During your purchase ask for a Tax free form of the company Global Refund. The minimum amount of your one-day purchase at one seller must exceed the amount of CZK 2,000.

When leaving the EU, present the goods purchased, the receipt and your passport to the EU customs. Have your form stamped within 3 months from the end of the month when you purchased your goods. Without the EU stamp, no VAT refund will be provided. This service is for foreign tourists who come from the non-EU states and those who do not have a permanent or temporary residence here.

You have several options how to pick up the tax refund:

1. Cash payment at the amount of 19% in the Moser shops in the Czech Republic. The maximum time of payment is 6 months from the date of purchase!
2. Immediate cash payment at one of the 200 international Global Refund centres (www.globalrefund.cz) or transfer of the amount to your credit card or bank account at the amount of up to 14%. The maximum time of payment is 5 months from the date of purchase!
