Hand shaping and mouth blowing of the glass
Come to see the procedure of hand shaping of the glass in the glass workshop during the excursion to the crystal manufactory Moser.
We look forward to welcoming you in Moser.
Hand shaping of the glass in the glass workshop and blowing into the wooden form
The production itself starts in the glass workshop, where glassmakers and their assistants blow the product, then form it using various wooden or metal forms and instruments and at the end cool it in the annealing kiln.
The chief blower places the ball of molten glass into a moistened wooden mould, the mould is closed and the blower blows through his spinning mouth-pipe until the molten glass coats the walls of the mould.
The moulds are made by Moser´s experienced mouldmen. An important part of the hot work is the fabrication of coloured glass.
