Maria Theresia 10620
| More photos: |
Design: 1913
The set imitates a set of Baroque drinking glass from the period of Maria Theresia which belonged to the table service at Schönbrunn's Palace in Vienna. The art and skill of Bohemian glassmakers, cutters and engravers have converged to create this Baroque masterpiece. The barrel-shaped bowl is panelled, fluted and copper wheel engraved with ornamental or figural scenes from the paintings of Watteau. A faceted sphere caps the richly cut and shaped stem and base. In 1957 Moser engraver K. Hable, Jr. added to the drinking suite a large jardiniere 801 with the difficult engraving of leaf work and puttos. The Maria Theresia pattern is available in a collection of over thirty pieces to complement your dining table, buffet, bar and dressing table. Included are stemware, barware and serveware, platters, plates and bowls, table accessories and more.
